1. If your check book and credit card was lost, contact your bank immediately. Request for stoppage of payments for checks issued. You may resort to closing your account and open a new one. You will have no liability for unwarranted issues.

5. Contact your land transportation agency if your driver’s license was lost. They will issue you a new one. They will also alarm their units for a fraud alert on your license. This will help you to abridge unwarranted use of your DL.
6. If an unexpected mail did not arrive, contact immediately the postal agency. Thieves might have changed your mailing address in order to intercept your important mails containing important financial or personal information.

Thanks for some good advice on the growing problem of identity theft. It is something everyone needs to know; I have not had it happen to me, but three different friends have. The scumbags are all around us.
