Illegal Immigration

Illegal immigration is one of the major problems faced by most of the countries. Illegal immigration can cause security problems, Economical problem, Job related problems etc. Therefore, every country has its own system to monitor and control the illegal immigration. The most common method is employing border patrol along the border.

All know that illegal immigration isn’t a newly found phenomenon. It has been happening from old times. During those days it wasn’t that serious of an issue, now it is. Illegal immigration mainly occurs through the unsecured borders of a country. They immigrant chose those borders as they can enter the other country without being detected. Some of the immigrant also uses fraud documents to enter in a country. Some other will stay in the country even after the period mentioned in the VISA is over. The latter two cases can still be detected.

Illegal immigration can also occur due to warfare, poverty or other things. They will also come in search of a financial safe job. People might think illegal immigration as there last hope from all the calamities they are facing. The immigration generally happens from a developing country to developed countries. The other major motivation can be the expenditure associated with proper immigration process. Illegal immigration will cost people less. The illegal people also cause major employment problems as they are willing to work at wages lower than the minimum wages. Therefore the employees also tend to prefer those workers than the native workers.

There is another major explanation for illegal migration, the structural demand. In developed countries there is an increasing demand of unskilled labors in undesirable jobs that the native workers neglect. This can draw unskilled immigrant labor in to a country irrespective of the wages. Over population can also contribute to illegal immigration. Increase in population can result in scarcity of water, food, home etc. This will result in immigration to place which can satisfy these basic needs. Mexico is a good example where population has increased up to 13%.

Some illegal immigrants don’t have any of the above said intentions. They just want to live with their loved ones. Their motto can be family reunification. This can be done legally also but people tend to do it this way as there are so much limitations and rules associated with the legal VISA. Illegal immigration is full of danger. Along with them they also put the native citizen in danger. Slavery is believed to be declined. Still there are underground slave transactions. Women are traded and transferred illegally in many part of the world.

People who are forced into prostitution can also face charges of illegal immigration as they might not have enough papers to fulfill the legal requirements. Not only have this hundreds of people died in illegal immigration process along US – Mexico border. This can occur due to lack of food, prolonged exposure to desert conditions, prolonged walking etc.

Every country is facing issues with illegal immigration. Illegal immigrants can have both good and bad intentions. No country is willing to take a chance by letting them in as the bad people can cause serious security issues.
