Identity Theft Can Happen through Wireless Network System

Did you know that identity theft is one of the fastest growing crime in the US, Canada and Europe today? There have been many proven types of identity theft security. Do you have them? How protected are you not to be the next victim? And did you know that utilizing wireless network system is even dangerous, as far as identity stealing is concern.

As wireless hackers can see what you are exactly doing online, like when you are reading your email, when you access your account online, when you are viewing or doing some modifications in your banking information, when you get your credit card information, and when you place orders using your account. Identity theft security is at risk for all these online transactions. The wireless network system is the easiest way of hacking.

Identity theft security is under danger once a wireless system is utilized. If you are using a public internet area or your favourite café, if you are using the wireless network in work or even at home. There will be free viewing of your information once the wireless thing will get activated.

Accordingly, $209.5 Billion was already lost and stolen for the past four years. They are identity theft-related crimes. Included in the statistic of the cause is the use of the wireless network system. In most instances, you will never know that you are being hacked.

Using the wireless network can be very risky. By using a laptop, a hacker can park near your favourite internet café and can directly get your usernames, passwords, and other personal information that may deem important for them through a wireless network. Software, such as Norton, McAfee, and all antivirus with internet protective suites cannot protect you from identity theft. Personal information, emails, passwords, instant messaging, online chats, forums, and others that were sent over wireless networks are broadcasted for everybody in the area to read and watched. Ninety percent of all wireless networks run without security or under a protective shield that can be easily cracked.

Well, all of identity theft security problem can be avoided. It does not matter if you are using a laptop or a personal computer. The very secure wireless networks are expensive and technically complicated. Most companies with large network divisions and units are the only one who can afford these luxuries. There are other wireless networks that operate with better security. They are inexpensive and far way better than having no protection at all. It will surely make you feel secured, at the very least.

Using wireless network system can publicly divulge your information to interested users within your neighbourhood. The wireless router will bring it all. It is better to take precautions for all these. As much as possible, do not use wireless network system in public areas. When you are using it in your home, you can take heed of the dangers by making yourself observant on what are happening in the outside. Be responsible in everything you do. Remember, prevention is better than cure!

Thanks for sharing. I have noticed wireless is risky as well. Someone can just tap into your network without your notice. vote up.

Some good points here, particularly as I use a wireless network at home for our two computers. I think also that it is becoming more and more common to do just that, and that will of course bring the thieves.
